The oh so elusive peace and quiet. We live in an 'entertain me', 'fill in the quiet time', always distracted culture. It can be difficult to find the time needed to have a few quiet moments with God our Creator.
Imagine having a relationship with your significant other. How strong would your relationship be if you never, or rarely, spoke to that person? Why would we expect that to be any different with God? There are two sides to communication, speaking and listening. How often do we have the expectation that God should listen to us and listen to us on our schedule? When do we actually make the effort to stop, focus, and listen?
So, when do we make that time?
Genesis 19:27
27 Now Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the Lord;
